The first time I saw the Kobe Tartan,
my image of check patterns completely changed.


It's an elegant and refined design.
This pattern, based on a striking, vibrant blue,


was born from the landscapes of Kobe
"Kobe Tartan"

The blue of the port, the red of Port Tower,
the green of Mt. Rokko, the white of pearls, and the gray of the city.
Kobe's scenery is expressed
through these five colors.





The regular intersecting lines on a blue base
were a particular focus when creating this pattern.


We made repeated adjustments to ensure that the overlapping squares,
which form the basis of the check, appeared perfectly aligned.
